About Manjunatha Krupa Sounds – Event & Planning in Bengaluru
We’re based in Kamakshi Palya at 121-65/2. Our place is mostly filled with big speakers, amplifiers, and miles of tangled cables. We spend a lot of our time testing equipment to make sure nothing crackles when it’s turned up loud. It’s a heavy job, lifting boxes into the van for local weddings or temple festivals. We don’t have a fancy office. Most of the space is just storage for the gear. There’s always dust on the equipment because of the road outside, so we’re constantly cleaning. We’ve been doing sound for a long time. We know which speakers work best for a small room and what you need for a big outdoor park. It’s not always perfect; sometimes a mic might fail or a wire gets tripped on, but we handle it. People come to us because they know we have the stuff and we’ll show up when we say we will. We don’t do a lot of talking or marketing. We just set up the stands, run the wires, and make sure the sound is clear. It’s a noisy business to be in, and my ears probably aren't as good as they used to be. The neighborhood is busy, and we’re often loading the van late at night after a gig. It’s hard work, but it keeps the lights on. We just do what we know and don't overthink it.
