Manjunatha Communications

Out in Chikballapur, in the Kadia Wadi area, is where we set up Manjunatha Communications. It’s a local spot where people come when they need help with their connections or phones. The shop isn't very large. We have a counter, some stools, and a lot of gadgets around. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a small fan running that makes a bit of a rattling noise. We’ve lived in Chikballapur most of our lives, so we know a lot of the families around here. People stop by to chat even when they don't need anything fixed. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing we are here in Kadia Wadi. Sometimes we run out of stock and have to tell people to come back next week, which isn't ideal, but we’re honest about it. We do the repairs and the sales ourselves. It’s a lot of sitting and looking at small parts, which can be hard on the eyes. We usually close up for a bit during lunch to go eat at the place around the corner. It’s a simple life. We don't want to be a huge corporation. Just being the local shop where people can get a fair deal is enough for us. I've been working here since I was much younger, and I've seen the technology change quite a bit from basic phones to these new ones that everyone uses nowadays to stay connected.
