Manju Shree Condiments

We are located in Rajajinagar, specifically in the Bhagya Shree area on the 1st Main Road, 2nd Stage. It’s a nice layout, and our place at 297 is usually the one that smells the best on the block. Manju Shree Condiments is mostly about fried snacks and pickles. We spend hours over the big stoves, stirring things until they are just the right shade of brown. My clothes always smell like curry leaves and hot oil. It’s a lot of standing on your feet, but you get used to it after a few years. We don't use fancy packaging with shiny logos. We just use plain bags and stickers. People come by in the evenings after work to pick up something crunchy for their tea. Sometimes we run out of the popular spicy mix before five o'clock, and people get a bit annoyed, but that's just how it goes when you make things fresh. The kitchen is small, so we have to be organized, or we’d be tripping over each other. It’s a family effort mostly. We don't have a big marketing plan. We just hope the wind carries the smell of the spices down the street so people know we are open. It’s hard work, especially in the summer heat, but seeing the jars full at the end of the day feels good. We’ll be here tomorrow morning too.
