Manjit Kaur

This is the place at 76/22 Koramangala Chanlla Ole, over in Manek Chowk near Shankarappa Layout. My name is Manjit Kaur and I’ve been running things from here for quite a while. Koramangala is a busy area, but our little corner is tucked away just enough. The building is older, with some cracks in the stairs, but it has a lot of character. I usually start my day quite early, getting things ready before the sun gets too hot. It’s not a corporate office with a lobby. It’s more like a workspace where I keep all my materials and records. There’s a small window that looks out onto the street, and I can see the neighbors going about their business. Most of the people who come here are from the nearby layouts. I don't spend money on fancy advertisements or anything. Most people just find me because they heard about the work from someone else. The room is filled with notebooks and some old furniture I’ve had since I started. It gets a bit crowded when more than two people are inside, but we manage. I handle everything myself, from the phone calls to the actual work. It’s a lot of responsibility but I prefer it that way because I know exactly what’s happening. I’ve lived in this city for years and I’m happy to have this spot in Manek Chowk.
