We deal in footwear of different kinds. Our shop is not one of those big, bright places you see in the malls. It’s a bit smaller and more cramped, with boxes stacked up high towards the ceiling. Sometimes it is hard to find a specific pair quickly, but we usually manage. We spend our time talking to people who come in and helping them find something that fits. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything. We just put a sign out front and wait for people to stop by while they are doing their grocery shopping or walking to the temple nearby. Malleswaram is a place where people know their neighbors, and we’ve become part of that over the years. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just sell shoes and sandals. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door and watch the people go by on 8th Cross. Other days, especially around the holidays, it can get quite hectic in here. We just take it as it comes and try to keep the shelves stocked with things people might actually want to wear.
