Mairaj Restaurant

Our place is at No.24 on Swagath Mall Road. It’s right there on the Tilak Nagar Main Road, which is part of Jayanagar. If you know Jayanagar, you know it’s a great place to be, but it can get really crowded on the weekends. Mairaj Restaurant is right in the thick of it all. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or out front cleaning the tables. It’s not a huge place, but it’s ours. We have a regular crowd that comes in, people who work in the nearby shops or live just a few streets over. The morning is spent getting the menu ready and making sure we have enough fresh supplies for the day. Sometimes the delivery truck can't find a single parking spot on Tilak Nagar Main Road, so we have to carry heavy boxes from two blocks away. It’s frustrating, but you just deal with it and move on. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure the food tastes like it should and the plates are clean for the next person. The staff here is like a small family. We argue sometimes when it gets busy, but we always get the work done. Jayanagar is a busy place, and we are just one small part of it. If you’re walking past the mall, you’ll probably see us. It’s a straightforward business, no frills, just good food and hard work.
