Mahendra General Stores

Mahendra General Stores is located at No-35/18 in the M.G.M Market on Kumbar Pet Road. This market is always crowded, especially in the mornings when the vegetable trucks arrive. We have been here for a long time, and the shop is a bit small but we manage to fit everything in. It is mostly shelves filled with boxes and loose items that people need for their kitchens or houses. We don't have a big staff, just us and sometimes a helper if it gets too busy. The floor is old stone and it gets dusty with all the people walking in from the road. Kumbar Pet Road is quite narrow, so parking is always a headache for everyone. We open up at eight and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There is no fancy air conditioning here, just a couple of ceiling fans that have been rattling for years. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It is a simple way of doing business. We don't have a website or any of that. If someone needs something, they just walk in and ask. Sometimes we don't have what they want, so we tell them to come back in two days after the new stock arrives. It is just a regular shop in a busy part of the city. We keep the books by hand mostly.
