Maharashtra Gujarat Transports is located at B 77 in Lane No 6, Yeshwantpur. We are right opposite Kanteerava Studio. If you’ve ever been to this part of Yeshwantpur, you know it’s the heart of the transport business. There are lorries everywhere and the smell of diesel is constant. We’ve been operating from this lane for quite some time now. Our work is mostly about connecting these two states, getting goods across the borders. It’s a lot of paperwork and even more waiting around for trucks to arrive. The office is small and often crowded with drivers waiting for their next route. We have a couple of desks and some old fans that barely keep the heat away in the summer. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most of our business comes from long-standing relationships with traders and other transport guys. It’s a messy business. Things get delayed by rain or breakdowns, and we have to deal with the fallout. We try to be honest about how long things will take. No point in lying when the truck is stuck at a checkpoint. We aren't a big corporate firm with uniforms. We’re just guys in a small office making sure the freight keeps moving between Maharashtra and Gujarat. It’s a hard life, but it’s what we know. We just focus on the routes and the schedules.
