Maharaja Furnitures has been located at 15 Thimmaiah Road for quite some time. We are right on the corner where Chinnaswamy Mudaliyar Street meets the main road in Tasker Town. The shop is usually full of different pieces of wood and finished items like cupboards, bed frames, and dining tables. Dust often fills the air with all the work going on, but that is the nature of a furniture business. Neighbors from around the area come in to see what we have on the floor or to ask if we can make something specific for their homes. Tasker Town is a busy place and there is always noise from the street, but inside the shop, we just focus on the furniture. Heavy teak pieces are available alongside some lighter stuff too, depending on what people are looking for. The guys working here have been doing this for a long time, so they know how to handle the wood and the tools. Our space is not a showroom like the ones you see in a mall; it is more of a practical area where things are actually made and sold. No money is spent on advertising or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or they saw the shop while passing through Thimmaiah Road. Opening up in the morning starts with getting the coffee going and showing people the different sofas and chairs we have ready.
