Maharaja Furniture

We have been here at No. 550 for a good while now. It’s right on the Dodda Banaswadi Outer Ring Road. If you know where the Horamavu signal is, we are just a stone's throw from there. The traffic out front is pretty much constant, so it gets a bit noisy during the day, but you get used to it. Inside, it's mostly just us and the furniture. We have stacks of chairs and tables everywhere. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to walk, but we manage. The guys spend most of their time moving heavy wooden cupboards or sofas around for people to see. It’s hard work and the dust from the road doesn't help much. We keep a couple of fans going to stay cool. People stop by after work usually. They want something for their house that doesn't cost a fortune. We don't have fancy lights or a big showroom vibe. It’s just a shop with stuff made of wood. Some of the pieces have been sitting there for a bit, while others go out the door the same day they arrive. We drink a lot of tea from the stall nearby while waiting for customers. Dealing with the delivery trucks is the hardest part because the road is so busy. You have to time it just right or you'll be stuck in a jam forever. It's just a normal day-to-day business for us here in Banaswadi.
