Mahalakshmi Paying Guest

We run Mahalakshmi Paying Guest at number 19 in Prasanthi Layout. It’s right near Hope Farm Circle in Whitefield, which is a very busy area because of all the IT offices nearby. Our place is on the I T P L Main Road, so it’s easy for the residents to get to work. We have several rooms here, and they stay pretty full most of the time with young people who have moved to Bangalore for their first jobs. I spend most of my day making sure the kitchen is running and the common areas are tidy. It’s a lot of work looking after so many people. We serve breakfast and dinner, so the smell of sambar or dal is usually wafting through the hallways. The house is a typical three-story building with a small gate at the front. There is always someone coming or going, and the doorbell rings at all hours. We try to keep things quiet after ten at night, but with Hope Farm Circle so close, you can always hear the traffic outside. The balcony on the top floor gives a good view of the main road and all the new buildings going up. We don’t have a big marketing budget. Most of our residents find us through word of mouth or by just seeing the board outside the layout. It’s like a big, noisy family living under one roof, and we just do our best to make it work.
