Mahalakshmi General Store

Our shop is tucked away on 2nd Main Road in Koramangala 8th Block. It’s right across from Shradha Nursing Home, so we see a lot of people coming and going from there all day. Some are looking for a quick bottle of water or maybe some biscuits while they wait. We try to keep a bit of everything in stock because you never know what someone might need. The building at No.774 isn’t new, and the stairs up to the front can be a bit steep if you aren’t careful. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of stuff packed together. We have the usual groceries and some household plastic items hanging from the ceiling hooks. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road for a minute while we unload the crates, which makes the neighbors a bit annoyed, but it’s part of the day. The light inside isn’t the brightest, but we know where everything is kept. It gets hot in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan stays on high speed most of the time. We aren't doing anything special here, just selling basic things to the people who live in the block or visit the hospital. It's a simple life. We close up once the sun goes down and the street gets quiet. Most days are the same, which is fine by us. It helps to have a steady flow of familiar customers who stop in daily.
