Mahadeva Metals

You can find us right on Magadi Main Road, specifically in the Karimpura Bazar area at number 28. It’s a very old part of the city and it’s always packed with people and carts. Mahadeva Metals has been sitting here for years, squeezed in between other small shops and vendors. The street is called Brown Road locally, and it’s never quiet. We mostly deal in various metals, and the shop is usually overflowing with bits and pieces of copper, brass, or whatever else we’ve managed to source. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, with metal shavings on the floor and dark corners filled with inventory, but we know exactly where everything is. The doorway is always open to let some air in, though you mostly just get the smell of the market and the sound of horns. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff; people just walk in or call us on the landline. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but the way we do things stays mostly the same. We weigh the metal, settle the price, and move on to the next person. It’s a busy life in the bazar, and by the time we shut the shutters in the evening, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s a good kind of tired, knowing we’ve spent the day doing real work in the heart of the market with people we've known for decades.
