Mahadev Metal Mart

You can find Mahadev Metal Mart at 16/2 in Banashankari 2nd Stage. Our shop is full of all kinds of metal goods, from small hardware items to larger pieces for house construction. It’s a noisy place because we are always moving heavy things around. The floor is concrete and there is usually a bit of metal dust in the air. We’ve been here for several years. It started as a small shop and we just kept adding more stock until the shelves were full. It’s not a fancy showroom with glass cases. It’s a practical store where things are stacked up where we can find them. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. The neighborhood has changed a lot, with more houses and traffic, but we are still here doing the same thing. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our customers are people from around Banashankari who need something fixed at home. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for people to come in. Sometimes we have to hunt through the back to find a specific part, but we usually get there. It’s hard work and our hands are often dirty, but it’s a good business. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just sell metal and try to be helpful to the locals.
