Madhu Chicken

At number 16 in Shivaji Nagar, you can find us starting work while most people are still asleep. Madhu Chicken is a busy spot, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone wants something for their lunch. The shop is always humming with the sound of the fans and the noise from the street outside. We spend the day prepping and cleaning, making sure everything is ready for the customers who line up. It gets pretty hot in here with the lights and the constant movement, but we just get on with it. Shivaji Nagar is a loud, crowded place, and we are right in the thick of it. You can hear the vendors shouting and the horns honking all day long. We have a few guys working here who have been doing this for a long time, so they move fast. The floor needs constant washing to keep things tidy, and we go through a lot of water. It isn't a place where you sit down and relax; it’s for getting what you need and heading home to cook. We know the regular families who have been coming to us for years. They usually just tell us what they want without looking at a list. By the time we shut the front gate at night, we are usually pretty exhausted, but we show up and do it all again the next day. It is just how the poultry business works here.
