At Madhava Printers, we’ve been working out of 54 Sri Nagar Link Road for quite some time now. Our shop is in the Raghavendra Block. If you know the Sri Nagar area, you know that the Link Road can get pretty busy with people cutting through to avoid the main highway traffic. We are at number 54, and it’s a place that smells like ink and paper most of the day. The Raghavendra Block is a nice enough neighborhood, mostly residential with a few shops like ours scattered around. We have the printing machines running a lot, so there is usually a steady thrumming sound coming from inside the building. It’s not the quietest job, but we like the pace of it. The road outside is always a bit of a gamble—sometimes it’s clear, and other times it’s backed up all the way to the corner. We get all kinds of people walking in, from neighbors needing a few copies to folks from further away. The building at 54 is just a standard structure, nothing that stands out too much, which is fine by us. We’ve got our shelves full of paper stock and our benches where we do the cutting and binding. It’s a practical space for a practical business. We’ve been in Raghavendra Block long enough that we know most of the other shop owners nearby. It’s a good, honest place to earn a living and keep the presses moving every single day.
