You can find us over at Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, right in the Kamgar Nagar area. We are at number 1, and the Adi Kabeer Ashram is a good landmark if you’re trying to find the shop. We’ve been making and selling furniture here for a good number of years. It’s a dusty business, honestly, with all the wood shaving and polishing going on in the back. We have everything from simple wooden chairs to bigger cupboards and sofas. Most of the stuff we sell is meant for regular homes nearby. We aren't a big showroom with bright lights; it’s more of a practical place where you can touch the wood and see how sturdy it is. My brother and I run the place, and we usually have a couple of guys helping with the heavy lifting and the deliveries. RT Nagar has grown so much, and we’ve seen shops come and go, but we’ve managed to stay put. People around here know us as the place to get something fixed or to buy a new bed when they’re moving into a new house. We don't use fancy talk to sell things. If a piece of wood has a knot or a mark, we show it to you. It’s about being real with the neighbors. We work long hours, especially when someone wants a custom order finished by a certain festival. It’s just honest work and we enjoy seeing a finished table go out the door to a happy home.
