Macmillan India Limited is located at 825, V Main in Vijayanagar, Bangalore. It’s an older part of the city, and our office has that same kind of established feel to it. We have a lot of books and papers everywhere, which makes sense given the kind of work we do. It isn't a high-tech looking place. We have wooden desks that have been around for a long time and shelves that are sagging a bit under the weight of all the files. We spend our days editing, checking details, and making sure all the paperwork is in order. It is a lot of focused work that requires a good bit of patience. The office can get a bit warm in the afternoon, so we usually have the fans going full blast. We don't have a corporate handbook telling us how to talk to each other. We just work together like a normal group of people. Most of us have been here for years, so we have our own little routines. Vijayanagar is a busy area with lots of shops and stalls, so there is always somewhere to go if you need a break. We don't try to be flashy or use a lot of marketing talk. We just focus on the task at hand and try to put out good work every day. It’s a steady, reliable place to be.
