Macho Mens Saloon

Started at the 3rd Cross in Vijayanagar a while back. It’s a busy spot here on 9th Main. People walk by all day and we see everything from the window. We open the doors early when the sun is just coming up. The chairs are old but comfortable enough for a quick cut. You hear the fans whirring and the sound of clippers most of the time. It’s just a place for guys to get their hair done without too much talk if they don’t want it. Some regulars come every two weeks like clockwork. They sit down, don't say much, and know we know what to do. The floor gets covered in hair by noon, then we sweep it up. Bangalore weather changes so fast, sometimes we have to shut the door for the rain. We see the school kids passing by and the office folks too. It's nothing fancy here. Just mirrors, scissors, and combs. Sometimes the radio is on, playing some local songs. People wait on the bench, scrolling through their phones or reading a paper if one is lying around. No.384 is easy to find if you know the area. We’ve seen the street change over the years. New shops come and go but we stay right here. It’s a small space, gets a bit cramped when it's crowded, but that's how it goes. Just a normal shop doing normal work for the people living around Vijayanagar.
