Afreens Beauty Parlour & Culture

Our place is Afreens Beauty Parlour & Culture, and you can find us at No 41 on the 9th Cross, 1st Main Road in Srirampuram. Even though the address says Srirampuram, we are quite close to Jayanagar 1st Block as well. Bangalore is a big city, but our corner feels like its own little world. We do all sorts of beauty work here. The "culture" part of our name refers to the traditional things we do, like henna or specific styles that people around here like for weddings and festivals. The shop is tucked away on a busy cross road. You can hear the scooters and the occasional bus going by. We have been here for a while, and the walls could probably tell a lot of stories if they could talk. It’s a busy shop most days. We have a few chairs and a small area for more private work. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes when it’s busy, there are bags and shoes everywhere near the door. The light in the morning is quite good for doing detailed work. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are and they come by when they need something done. It’s a practical, hardworking little parlour that serves the women in this part of Bangalore. We keep the mirrors polished and the water running, and that is about it.
