Down here on H Siddaiah Road, specifically at Naroji Seth Street 8, things stay pretty loud. Maa Annapurna Transport Agency Ltd is right in the thick of it. The street is narrow and sometimes getting things in and out is a real headache, but we’ve managed for years. We handle all sorts of transport jobs, mostly moving goods for local businesses around here. Our office has those old wooden chairs and a ceiling fan that clicks, but it's where everything gets done. My brother and I take turns handling the bookings while the staff manages the actual loading. It’s not a quiet job at all. There is always someone coming in with a receipt or a question about a delay. We don't use any high-tech systems, just a lot of writing things down and making sure we don't lose the slips. The rain can be a problem in this part of town because the street floods, so we have to be careful with the cargo. It's just a regular local business. We know the other shop owners on the street and we help each other out when needed. It is a long day usually, starting early and ending well after the sun goes down, but that’s just how the transport business goes in this part of the city. We just keep pushing through the busy times.
