M S Furniture & Mattress is right here at 11 Banaswadi in the SMR Vinay Regency building. It's been in this spot for a while now. When you walk in, you'll see a lot of beds and sofas squeezed together because the space isn't huge, but we try to keep it organized. Most days it's just us moving things around or talking to folks from around the neighborhood who need a new mattress or maybe a cupboard for their room. Banaswadi is a busy area so there's always noise from the street outside. We spend a lot of time dust-cleaning the furniture because the road gets quite dusty. People usually come in after work to look at things. We aren't a big fancy showroom with bright lights and pushy sales people. It is just a regular shop where we keep stuff that people actually use in their houses every day. Sometimes we're busy helping a family pick out a dining table, and other times it's quiet enough to just sit and watch the traffic go by. The SMR Vinay Regency building is easy to find if you know the area. We have some wooden chairs and different kinds of foam mattresses stacked up towards the back. It’s a simple setup. We handle the deliveries ourselves most of the time, loading up the rickshaws or small trucks right out front. It’s just how we do things here.
