Our place is over at No.299/1-03 on B.T.S Main Road. If you know the S S R Arcade in Chinnayapalya, then you’ve probably passed by us. It’s a busy part of the city, and the traffic on the main road can be a bit much during rush hour. We’ve been trading steel here for years. It’s heavy work, and there’s always dust from the trucks and the metal being moved around. The arcade itself is a solid building, though it gets quite noisy with all the activity. We occupy this space and keep it packed with whatever stock we can fit. It isn’t the most organized-looking shop, but we have our own system for tracking everything. Most days involve a lot of loading and unloading. We don’t really do fancy meetings or anything; we’re usually just out on the floor or sitting at the small desk near the entrance handling the ledger. The coffee guy comes around twice a day, which is something we all look forward to. It’s honest work, dealing with different types of steel and making sure the measurements are right for whoever is buying. Sometimes a customer comes in looking for something very specific, and we have to dig through the stacks to find it. It’s just the way things are done here on B.T.S Main Road. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the steel business stays pretty much the same and we just keep on going.
