We are based out of Peenya, specifically at Gate No 409 and 510. If you’ve ever been to this side of Bangalore, you know it’s a massive industrial estate. There are factories and warehouses in every direction. We are M K S Transport Service and we’ve been set up here for quite a while. Our office is right near the gates where the big trailers come in and out all day. It’s a very noisy environment with the sound of machinery and sirens constantly going off. We don't have a fancy office with glass walls. It’s just a practical space where we can talk to the factory owners and the truck drivers. The dust in Peenya is something else, you can never really get rid of it. We spend most of our time looking at schedules and making sure there is enough space on the trucks for the next load. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know. We don’t spend money on advertising or big signs. Most people find us because they are already working in the industrial area and need something moved. We’ve had days where everything goes perfectly and days where nothing seems to go right. That’s just the nature of transport work. We stay open late most nights because that’s when the traffic dies down and the trucks can actually move. We just keep at it and hope the rain doesn't slow us down too much.
