M K General Stores

If you walk down R K Vaidya Road in Konankunte, you will find us in the K A S Complex. M K General Stores is just a basic neighborhood spot. We have been here for some time now, watching the road get busier and busier. There are a lot of houses around, so we get people coming in for their daily groceries. It is not a very big shop, so we have to use every bit of space we have. Sometimes the bags are stacked up pretty high. We sell the usual things like rice, dal, and different kinds of spices. Kids from the nearby buildings often run in to get some chocolate or chips after school. It gets a bit crowded around five or six in the evening. That is when everyone is coming home from work and realizes they ran out of something. We don't have a fancy computer system for everything; we still do a lot of it by hand. It feels more natural that way. The lights in the complex flicker sometimes, but we just keep going. We know most of the families around Konankunte. It is a friendly place to be. We just try to keep the shelves full and the floor swept. It isn't anything fancy, just a local store where you can get your basic household supplies without any fuss or trouble. We keep the doors open for anyone who needs something.
