If you are in Hebbal, you probably know how the traffic gets near the main roads. M Bazaar is tucked away where people can actually get to it. We keep the aisles as clear as we can, but on delivery days, it gets a bit tight with the crates of milk and bags of rice sitting out. It’s a busy atmosphere. There’s always someone asking where the soap is or if we have fresh eggs in the back. We try to stock a bit of everything so people don't have to go to three different places for their groceries. The billing counter is where most of the talk happens. We hear about the weather or the new construction down the street. It’s just a standard neighborhood store. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Sometimes the scanner acts up and we have to enter the prices by hand, which slows things down a little. The shelves are tall and we have a small ladder that we move around to reach the top stuff. It feels like we are constantly rearranging things to make room for new items. People come in for a loaf of bread and end up staying for ten minutes just to chat about local news. That’s how life is here in Hebbal. We keep the doors open and just wait for the next person to walk in. It is just everyday business.
