Lucky Star Computers

If you head to 23 Jayanagar on Madan Gopal Haveli Road, you’ll find us on the 1st Floor. Lucky Star Computers isn't a big shop with bright lights. It’s more of a workspace where we have parts and old monitors stacked up on the shelves. Being on the first floor means we get a good view of the street below, which is usually packed with bikes and people heading to the market. We spend a lot of time hunched over desks with screwdrivers and small parts. It’s quiet work mostly, except when we’re testing something that has a loud fan or a hard drive making noise. The stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so carrying heavy towers up and down is always a bit of a chore for everyone. We’ve got a couple of old chairs for when people come in to drop things off. The walls are covered in calendars and old posters that have been there for years. Madan Gopal Haveli Road is a busy place, so there’s always noise coming in through the windows. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going through the long afternoon. It gets dusty pretty fast with all the electronics, so we’re always wiping things down with old rags. We don't really do much advertising; people just seem to know we are here above the shops. It’s a simple setup, but it works for what we need to get done every day and that’s about it.
