Lohit Provision Stores

We've been here at Bommanahalli Nehru Nagar Char Rasta 140 for quite a while now. Most people around here just know us as the place to grab whatever they forgot on their way home. It gets pretty busy around the four-way crossing, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading back from work. I usually start early in the morning to get the shutters up and check what came in on the trucks. The shelves at Lohit Provision Stores stay pretty packed with the usual stuff like rice, soaps, and snacks. Sometimes it’s a bit of a mess back there in the storage area, but we know where everything is. It is just me and a couple of others helping out most days. We don't really do anything fancy here. We just keep the lights on and make sure the milk is fresh. If the power goes out, we just light a few candles and keep going until the usual closing time. Nehru Nagar is a loud place with all the traffic at the Char Rasta, but you get used to the noise after a few years. People stop by to chat about the weather or the traffic while they wait for their change. It isn't a big supermarket or anything like that. Just a regular shop where we try to keep the staples in stock. We spend a lot of time just dusting things off and reorganizing the biscuit packets when it's quiet in the afternoons.
