Little Champs Gurukulam

We are over in Basaveshwara Nagar at No. 25 on the Sharada Colony Bus Stop Road. Most people know our building because it’s right next to the Swayam Prabha Kalyana Mantapa. It’s a nice little spot in the Nhcs Layout area of Bangalore. Little Champs Gurukulam is basically a space where we have kids coming in throughout the day. We tried to make the place feel a bit more like a home than a school, so there are colorful things on the walls and plenty of mats on the floor. It’s not a giant facility, just a local place for the children in this part of Bangalore. The bus stop being so close is handy for the parents, though most people just walk over from the surrounding streets. We have a small staff of teachers who are good with kids and don't mind the noise that comes with them. Sometimes it gets quite loud, especially when it’s play time or when a wedding is happening next door at the hall. We just work around it. There isn't a fancy office with a secretary; if you come in, you'll probably find one of us sitting with the kids or organizing the toys. We spend a lot of time just making sure everyone is safe and occupied with something useful. It’s a very straightforward, local operation. We know most of the parents by name and see them every day at the gate. It is simple and it works for the families here.
