Our office is at Vaidyanatha Vijayam on Artillery Road in Halasuru. It is an old-style building, and we are tucked away on the first floor. Halasuru is one of those parts of Bangalore that still feels like the old days, despite all the new shops popping up nearby. We handle estate matters, which means there is a lot of talking about land and crops and weather. It is not the kind of job where you sit in front of a computer for eight hours straight. There is always someone coming in with a question or a document that needs a signature. The compound has a few big trees that keep things a little cooler, which is nice in the summer. We spend a lot of time coordinating between different people and making sure the records are kept straight. It’s mostly just us and a couple of assistants handling the day-to-day things. The traffic on Artillery Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we usually try to wrap things up before it gets too bad. It’s a quiet, steady kind of work. We don't have any big signs or fancy decorations out front. People who need to find us usually know the way. It’s just a small office where we take care of the estate business and keep things running as smoothly as we can during the week.
