Laxmi Sheet Metal Engineering Works

You can find our sheet metal works at Door No-10/11 on 4th Main in Mahadevapura-Post. We are right opposite the VST Tailler building. This is an industrial part of town, so there is always the sound of hammers and cutting machines in the air. Our workshop is a big open space where we keep the large sheets of metal. We spend the day bending, cutting, and welding things together. It is a noisy and hot environment, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the roof. We don't have an office with air conditioning; we just have a small desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and some scribbled notes about dimensions. There are scraps of metal on the floor and tools scattered across the workbenches. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though it’s hard to hear over the machines sometimes. People bring us sketches of what they need, and we spend our time trying to make it fit the measurements. It’s honest, physical work that leaves your back a bit sore by evening. We’ve been at this Mahadevapura location for a while, and the neighbors are all doing similar industrial things. It isn't a place for meetings in suits. It’s a place for people who need things made out of steel and iron. We just put on our gear and get to work every morning when the gates open.
