Lalitha

We are tucked away in Ans Plaza over by Crawford Market in Gangenahalli. If you know the SM Food Palace, then you are pretty close to where Lalitha is located. It’s a very busy area. There is always a lot of shouting and horns honking outside. Sometimes it’s hard to hear yourself think, but that’s just the energy of the market. Our space isn't very big. We have stuff piled up on shelves and a few desks tucked into the corners. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when more than two people are inside at once. We’ve been here for a good while. We see the same faces every morning when the market opens up. It’s a lot of hard work being in this part of town. You have to be quick. We don’t have time for fancy decorations or making things look perfect. We just focus on getting the tasks done. Most of our day is spent handling things for people who come in from the street. They are usually in a hurry, so we try to be fast. We aren't a big company with a lot of rules. We just do things the way they’ve always been done here. Lalitha is just a name on the door to most, but to us, it’s where we spend all our time. It’s practical and it’s home. We usually have a fan going because it gets hot in the afternoons. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down.
