About Lakshmi Ispat Udyog – Metals & Minerals in Bengaluru
You’ll find us over in Peenya 3rd Phase. Our spot is on 5th Main, number 21. If you’ve spent any time in Peenya, you know it’s all about the industry and the noise. We deal with steel, or "ispat" as we say around here. The floor is usually covered in scrap and shavings, and the air smells like oil and hot metal. It’s a loud place to work, especially when the machines are all running at once. My brother and I started out here years ago, and we’ve stayed in the same spot. We don’t have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you walk in, you’re basically walking right onto the shop floor. We do a lot of cutting and shaping for local workshops. The power goes out occasionally, which is a pain, but we have a generator to keep things going. It’s a 21-number building, not too far from the main road. We see a lot of the same faces every week, guys coming in to pick up their orders. We don't bother with much advertising; people just know we're here. We keep the gate open from early morning until the sun goes down. It’s just a regular udyog, nothing more and nothing less. We take the work as it comes and try to stay on top of the orders. The machines are old but they still get the job done right every time.
