KVS Tent House

KVS Tent House is tucked away in Jayanagar 9th Block, on 39th Cross. We’re at number 732. This part of Jayanagar is usually quiet, but our shop is often a bit messy with all the equipment we have to store. We have piles of carpets, stacks of plastic chairs, and all those metal pipes for the frames. It’s a lot of heavy lifting. My family and a few helpers run the place. We’ve been here for years, watching the houses around us change. When someone in the block has a function, they usually come to us because we’re right here. We don't do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby and know us. It’s not a glamorous job. You spend a lot of time untangling lights or checking if the waterproof covers have any holes. Sometimes we're up at 4 AM to set up for a morning ceremony. By the time most people are awake, we’re already sweaty and tired. We keep a small notebook for bookings, and it’s usually full of scribbles. The shed where we keep everything can get a bit cramped, especially when we have three different events on the same weekend. We just try to get the stuff where it needs to go on time. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy. We like being part of the community here in the 9th Block and seeing familiar faces at every event.
