Our unit for Kufner Textiles is located in the Ulsoor area, right near the Chamundeshwari Temple. If you know the neighborhood, it is easy to find because the temple is a major landmark for everyone around here. We work with different types of fabrics and materials every day. It gets pretty loud inside when the machines are running, but that is just part of the job. Most of the people working here have been with us for a long time. We handle a lot of rolls of cloth and shipments coming in and out throughout the week. The space isn't huge but we make it work for what we need to do. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time navigating the narrow lanes near Ulsoor, especially during festival times when the temple gets crowded. We just deal with it as it comes. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just focus on getting the textile orders sorted and sent out on time. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and fabric scraps by the end of the shift. Someone always has to stay late to lock up and make sure everything is switched off. It’s straightforward work. We don’t spend much time on office decorations or anything like that. The focus is always on the physical work happening on the floor. It's just a busy place near the temple.
