The workshop is tucked away at 414 Anand Nagar, in the Anugraha building. Metal work is what we do every day. It is loud and can get quite hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the roof. We have different types of metal stacked up against the walls. Some of it is heavy, some of it is just scrap waiting to be moved. We spend most of our time cutting and shaping pieces to fit whatever job is on the table. Anand Nagar is a decent place to be. It has a mix of houses and small shops like ours. You get used to the smell of burnt metal and the screech of the saws after a while. I usually wear an old pair of boots that have seen better days. We don't have a front desk or anything like that. If someone needs us, they just walk into the bay and shout over the noise. It is a simple way of doing things. My desk is covered in old notebooks and bits of metal samples. We have a small window that looks out toward the street, but it’s usually too dusty to see much. There is a tea stall around the corner that we visit twice a day. The people around here know us as the metal guys. We just keep our heads down and finish the work we have. It’s a steady life and we like the feeling of finishing a project.
