Kidogos Institute

You can find us at Rukmini Nivas, which is right on Bull Temple Road. We are directly opposite the Sree Ramakrishna Ashrama, so if you can find that, you’ve found us. The area has a lot of history and it’s a nice part of Bangalore to be in. Kidogos Institute started out quite small, and honestly, we’re still not a very big operation. We occupy part of the building at number 13/5. Most of the time, it’s just a few of us here working with the students who drop by. We handle a variety of subjects, depending on who is available and what the kids need help with at the time. It’s a very practical environment. We don’t go in for big speeches or fancy brochures. We just sit at the tables and get to work. Sometimes the classes run a bit over time because a discussion gets interesting or a student is finally starting to understand a tough topic. We don't mind that. The goal is just to make sure the time spent here is useful. It gets busy in the evenings when the school day ends, and the rooms fill up with the sound of pens scratching on paper and people explaining things. We like being a part of this community. It’s a regular job for us, but seeing a student lose that look of confusion is a nice bonus at the end of the day.
