Our office is tucked away on 11th Main in Bangalore, which is a pretty busy part of town. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can get, especially when the rain starts. We are at number 2618. It is a standard building where we spend most of our time looking at data and talking to people about their business problems. We aren't the kind of place with bean bags or fancy coffee machines. It is mostly desks, computers, and a lot of printed reports piled up. Sometimes the internet goes slow and we all just sit around waiting for it to come back. We have a few people who come in every morning, grab their tea, and get to work. The 11th Main road has changed a lot over the years, with new shops opening up all the time. We’ve stayed put though. We handle a lot of different things depending on what people need that week. It’s not always exciting, but it’s the work we do. Lunch is usually someone bringing a tiffin or going to the small eatery around the corner. We don’t put on an act here. It is just a group of people working together in a corner of Karnataka. Some days are long and we stay late to finish up things for people who are waiting on us. That is just how the consulting life works out here. We try to keep things simple and just focus on the task right in front of us.
