Khushala Exports (India)

Kuvempunagar is a pretty nice part of Mysore to be in. We’re located in the C.S.G. Arcade, at 1111. It’s a good number to remember, though people still call us to ask for directions all the time. Udyaravi Road is usually busy, but not like the markets in the bigger cities. At Khushala Exports, we spend our days dealing with the logistics of sending things overseas. There’s a lot of waiting around for emails to come back because of the time differences. We have a small office with a few desks and a computer that’s a bit slow on Monday mornings. There’s a potted plant in the corner that someone forgot to water, so it’s looking a bit sad lately. We keep a stash of biscuits in the drawer for when the afternoon hunger kicks in. The street outside has some nice trees, and you can see people walking their dogs or going to the shops nearby. It’s a bit more relaxed here than some of the other places I’ve worked. We don’t wear suits or anything like that. Just regular clothes and comfortable shoes because we’re on our feet a lot. The boss is usually around, probably complaining about the electricity bill or the price of shipping containers. It’s just a regular bunch of people trying to make things work and get the orders out on time. It’s mostly just keeping the rhythm going and finishing the paperwork.
