Khazana Food Paradise

Richmond Town is a nice place to be, and we’re located at 1st Cross number 16. Khazana Food Paradise is basically what the name says, a lot of different food in one spot. We’ve got a big kitchen because we try to make a bit of everything. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll often see my cousins or my brother-in-law helping out behind the counter. We don’t have a big marketing plan. We just put a sign out and hoped people would like the cooking. It’s a lot of early mornings at the market picking out meat and vegetables. If the produce isn't good, the whole day feels off. We spend hours simmering things in big pots. The 1st Cross is usually quiet enough, but during lunch, the street gets packed with cars. We have to keep an eye on the door to make sure people can actually get in. It’s not a polished restaurant with white tablecloths. It’s more of a place where you can hear the kitchen staff laughing and the plates clinking. We focus on getting the flavors right rather than how the room looks. Sometimes we burn a batch of something and have to start over, which is frustrating, but it happens. We’re just trying to provide a solid meal for the people who live and work around Richmond Town. It’s hard work, but we like it.
