You can find us at 26/5 on Kanakapura Road, right in the Kapasia Bazar area. It’s a tight space but we’ve made it work for a long time. We spend our days working on small metal components that need to be exactly right. The machines make a lot of noise, so you usually have to shout to be heard over the hum of the motors. It’s precise work, which is funny because the shop itself is a bit of a jumble of tools and oil cans. We get a lot of grease on our hands and there’s always a smell of cutting fluid in the air. We don't really have a big sign outside or a fancy entrance. Most people just know us because we’ve been on this road forever. The bazar outside is always crowded with people and carts, so getting materials delivered can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We just focus on the drawings and making sure the parts we finish are what the person asked for. It’s a small team here, just a handful of us who know how to run the lathes. We eat our lunch together in the back and then get right back to it. There isn't much to say about the place other than we show up, do the work, and close the shutters when it gets dark. It keeps us busy and pays the bills, which is enough for us.
