Kennametal India Ltd. is based out at 8/9th Mile on Tumkur Road. We also have this address listed as 8F, Building 2, No 406 on Guilin Road in the Xuhui District, which sounds a bit far away but that's how our records are set up. Our office on Tumkur Road is quite high up on the eighth floor. It’s an industrial part of town, so there is always a lot of noise and movement from the trucks outside. We deal with various industrial products and parts every day. The office isn’t anything too special, just a place where we sit down to handle orders and talk to customers on the phone. We’ve been in this spot for a while now, and the team knows the area well. Sometimes the commute along Tumkur Road can be a real pain because of the traffic, but we manage. We aren't into fancy office decorations or corporate slogans. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the supplies get to where they are supposed to go. It’s a lot of technical work, looking at numbers and specifications all day. The building is big and we share it with other businesses too. It feels like a regular workplace where everyone is just trying to do their best. We don't really do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they need what we have. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place to work.
