K-Ben

K-Ben is situated in Malleswaram, which is one of the older, more stable parts of Bangalore. We like it here because of the big trees and the fact that things don't change as fast as the rest of the city. Our place isn't very large, but we make the most of the space we have. It’s usually a bit of a mess with papers and samples, but we know where everything is. We don't have a marketing team or a bunch of managers. It’s just a few of us handling the daily tasks. Malleswaram has a great vibe, especially in the mornings when the flower markets are open nearby. Sometimes we get distracted by the smell of coffee from the local cafes. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do what we do and go home at the end of the day. The building we are in has been around for a while, so the walls are thick and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is out. We have some old wooden furniture that we’ve used for years. It’s comfortable and it works. People drop by sometimes just to ask questions or see what we are up to. We try to be helpful without making a big deal out of it. It’s a simple life running a business in this neighborhood.
