You can find us at 32 Indira Nagar, right opposite the Manipal Hospital. Being so close to the hospital means the street is almost never quiet, but inside the building, we try to keep things settled. It’s a straightforward paying guest setup. We have different rooms for the residents, and we provide the basic things they need like beds and storage space. There’s a small dining area where everyone eats together. Most of our day is spent handling the practical stuff—making sure the water is running, fixing a broken light, or getting the groceries for the next day's meals. We have a gate that we lock at night for safety. The building itself is older, but it’s sturdy and we keep it clean. We don’t have a big staff; it’s mostly just us doing the work. Sometimes we sit out on the small balcony to take a break and watch the people going in and out of the hospital across the street. It’s a good location for people working nearby. We keep a simple book to track who is coming and going. It’s not a fancy lifestyle, just a place for people to stay while they are working or studying in the city. We do our best to make sure the food is decent and that the environment stays peaceful for everyone who lives here with us. We often find ourselves chatting with the residents about their day while we are tidying up the common areas in the late afternoon.
