Kaveri Traders

We are located in Yeshwantpur at number 26. This is a trading business. We deal with bulk goods mostly. It’s a lot of sacks and heavy lifting. The area is always full of trucks and lorries. It’s hard to find parking around here. We start work when the sun comes up. That's when the shipments arrive. We have a team of five guys who do the loading and unloading. They are strong and work hard. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It’s a warehouse style. The walls are just plain brick. We keep track of everything in big ledgers. My uncle started Kaveri Traders thirty years ago. I took over when he got too tired. It’s a busy life. We talk to farmers and other wholesalers all day. The price of things changes all the time. We have to keep an eye on it. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down. It’s a simple routine. We don't use fancy words or marketing. People know us because we've been here so long. We are honest about what we have. If the stuff isn't good, we say so. We don't want any trouble later. Yeshwantpur is the heart of the trade here. It’s dusty and noisy, but it’s where we belong. We keep the shutters open until the last truck is gone. We make sure the floor is swept before we leave. It’s a lot of work but we’re used to it by now. The tea stalls nearby keep us going during the long shifts.
