Working out of the APMC Yard in Yeshwantpur is always a bit of a challenge because of the scale of the place. We are located at 5th main, 3rd cross, 43/A. It is a big area with trucks coming and going at all hours. Mostly, we are dealing with agricultural stuff like seeds and grains. The office is not very big. It is just enough for some desks and some old files. Most of the real action happens out in the yard where all the loading is done. It gets very dusty and loud when the market is at its peak. We have been here for a while and we know the other traders nearby. It is a different kind of life in the yard compared to the rest of town. You have to be okay with the noise of engines and people shouting. We spend our time checking what we have in the bags and making sure the paperwork is sorted for the deliveries. There is no air conditioning out there. We just have the fans spinning and the smell of grain in the air. We keep things moving as much as we can. It is a practical business and we don't spend much time on fancy things. Everyone here knows their job and we just get through the lists every day. Yeshwantpur is always moving and we are just one part of that big machine.
