Kataria Transports

You can find us on the ground floor of the Kumbara Sangha Building. It’s at 13/30 Kalasipalyam 3rd Cross. It’s a hectic area, lots of people and vehicles moving all the time. Our office is small and filled with ledgers and stacks of paper. We handle transport work, mostly coordinating where things need to go. The phone rings a lot. Someone is always asking if the truck has left or when it will arrive. We sit here and manage the timings. It’s not a quiet job. There’s always the sound of the city outside. Sometimes drivers come in to get their papers signed and they tell us about the roads. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused. It’s been this way for years. We don’t use any fancy software, just our heads and the logbooks. Sometimes there’s a delay because of a breakdown or a closed road, and we have to figure it out. It’s just us doing our bit in the middle of all the chaos. People know they can find us here on the 3rd Cross. We don't do much advertising, word of mouth is usually enough. It’s a practical business. We show up early and leave late when the last truck is accounted for. It’s just the way the transport business works in this part of town. We’ve seen many businesses come and go, but we keep our doors open and keep the trucks moving.
