Kashab Furniture Work

My shop is at 123/1 Kadugondanahalli. At Kashab Furniture Work, there’s always a lot of sawdust on the floor and the sound of a saw going. I’ve been working with wood in this spot for quite some years. It’s just a regular workshop where we make things like cupboards, chairs, and tables. People from around Kadugondanahalli drop by to talk about what they need for their homes. I don’t use any of those big marketing slogans. I just pick up my tools and get to it. Sometimes the wood delivery is late or the weather makes the glue dry slow, but that’s part of the job. It's a small place, so you’ll probably see me or one of the guys working right as you walk in. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. You see the raw wood and the half-finished pieces. It's dusty, and it's noisy, but it's where we make things that last. We like being in this part of town. It feels like a real community here. If you need something fixed or made, you just come to the door and ask for us. I’m usually in the back. We just do the work and hope the neighbors are happy with what they take home. It isn't a factory, just a few hands making things for people who need them.
