If you’re looking for us, we are over at 1368 Srinivasnagar in the Koleswadi area of Kalyan East. We are really close to the PES College bus stand, so you can always hear the buses pulling in and out during the day. This is a paying guest house mainly for people who study nearby or work in the local shops. We started Karthik Raj Paying Guest because there were so many students needing a place that wasn't too expensive or too far from their classes. The building is a bit older, but we try to keep the rooms tidy and the water running. It’s not like a hotel; it’s more like a shared house where everyone knows each other’s business. We provide meals, usually just simple home-style food that fills you up. Some days the kitchen is a bit chaotic when everyone wants to eat at the exact same time before their morning lectures. We have a few rules about noise and guests, mostly just to make sure everyone can sleep. The furniture is basic—just beds and some cupboards for clothes. It gets quite busy in the evenings when everyone comes back. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Most people just see our board near the bus stand and walk in to ask about the rent. It’s a practical place for someone who just needs a bed and a decent meal while they’re away from home.
