About Karnataka Co-Operative Milk Producers ' Federation Ltd. – Industrial Plant & Machines in Bengaluru
Our place is the Kmf Complex at 2915, right on Dr. M.H. Marigowda Road. It’s a big area near the D.R. College Post. There are always trucks moving around here, mostly bringing in milk from the farms in the countryside. It is a busy operation every single day of the week, including Sundays. We don’t really take days off because cows don’t stop giving milk just because it is a holiday. Many of us have worked here for decades. We know the routines inside and out. It’s a lot of coordination to get everything sorted and sent out to the city shops. The mornings start very early, usually while it's still dark and cold outside. We wear our uniforms and get to work checking the containers and the cooling machinery. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There is always the sound of engines and metal containers clanking together. We don't have time for fancy talk or long meetings. We just focus on the task that needs doing. The complex is quite old now but we try to keep it in good shape. People in the city rely on what we do here for their morning coffee. We see the same delivery drivers every morning. Sometimes we share a quick coffee before they head out on their routes. It’s hard work, especially when it rains or the weather is bad. But we are used to it by now. This is just where we spend our days making sure things keep moving for the people who need them.
